I know it’s been a while, but I try not to post if I don’t have anything constructive or exciting to write about. One day, I’d like to write a post about my journey getting a novel onto the screen.
Here is the link from Screen Australia that talks about development funding for the project. Which means they believe in it and want to support it.
So, yes, we’re closer than we’ve ever been. No, I don’t have a clue when auditions will take place, but I’m presuming it’ll be later this year and I promise that if there are open auditions, the details will be here. I’ve said before that the actress who plays Taylor will be an international name. It’s close to impossible to distribute a film internationally without a name but I promise that the person we’d have in mind is perfect to play her.
I found this link on pinterest and it’s as if it was made for our film. (there are trees and tattoos in the filmscript)
Also, I will be speaking at The Byron Bay Literary Festival in August and the Brisbane Writer’s Festival in September for anyone in those areas.
Other good news is that after years and years and years of not really having an English publisher, The Lumatere Chronicles will be published in the UK. I think there’s enough room for more than one royal birth.
